Co-creator of
The American Heritage Program
At Brigham Young University
2020 is why you took American Heritage!
Professor Fox taught at BYU from 1971 until his retirement in 2006. He received the Karl G. Maeser Distinguished Teaching Award in 1984 and the Karl G. Maesar General Education Professorship in 1987. He is best known for developing the History Department's graduate curriculum and, with economics professor Clayne L. Pope, BYU's American Heritage program. He is remembered by BYU Magazine as one of the Top 10 Professors of the 20th Century.
I am Professor Frank Fox. I hope you have good memories of American Heritage, because I helped create it. Although I am a conservative Republican, I will not be voting for Donald Trump in November. Watch my videos to see me explain why.
Part 1: An Open Letter
My plea to BYU Alumni and LDS voters everywhere: Donald Trump is an unprecedented threat to our democracy, and he must be voted out. Trust me as a political historian, as an expert in government, and even as a lifelong conservative. 2020 is exactly why BYU students study American Heritage … and this is not a test! For any cause less urgent than this, I wouldn’t go to such trouble to speak up from my retirement. I urge you to share this video with your spouse, parents, kids, fellow Cougars and anyone else that prizes the miracle of America.
